UNDERSTANDING CHILDREN - PARENTS, THEIR DISEASE, TREATMENT AND THE DOCTOR!
My granddaughter has developed a flattened area on the back of her head. She was not that way at birth. Her head seems to bulge out on the sides somewhat as well since the flattened area has developed. She is 6 months old. What causes this and what can be done if anything? She hates being on her stomach! Thanks for any insight you can give.
answer: it may be due to she is lillte extra weight, or may be she doesnt lift her ehad.. or may be the child is kept in same position most times and or teher may be delayed milestones.
this si called occipital plagiocephaly.
she needs toc hange ehr positions often. also add calcium supplements.
